Food dye - not an allergy after all

 My daughter's a canary in a coal mine. 
A warning, a sign to the rest of us, beware. 

An allergy is the body mistaking a safe ingredient as a harmful one. What happens to my daughter after eating food dye is something else. It's a physical reaction to a harmful ingredient.
